ProvKids Curriculum Schedule March - May 2018

Schedule for Joyful Jungle (age 1-3) and Explorer Cove (age 4-5):

March 4th - We worship God by singing to him and Paul and Silas sing praises in prison.  Acts 16

March 11th - We worship God by praying to him and Paul and Silas pray in prison.  Acts 16

March 18th - We worship God by thanking him and Paul and Silas are set free.  Acts 16

March 25th - Jesus gives us new life and Jesus washes the disciples feet.  John 13

April 1st - Jesus gives us new life and Jesus enters Jerusalem as a king.

EASTER SUNDAY

April 8th - Jesus gives us new life and Jesus shares a final meal with his disciples.  Mark 14

April 15th - Jesus gives us new life and Jesus died on the cross.  Mark 15

April 22nd - Jesus gives us new life and Jesus rises on the 3rd day. Mark 16

April 29th - Jesus gives us new life and sends out his followers to share the good news.  Matthew 28 and Acts 1

May 6th - God is our friend when we are alone and God sends ravens to bring food to Elijah-1 Kings 17:1-6

May 13th - God is our friend who guides us and God guides Elijah to a widow-1 Kings 17:7-10 (Mother's Day)

May 20th - God is our friend who helps us share and a widow shares food with Elijah-1 Kings 17:10-16

May 27th - God is our friend who takes care of us and God cares for Elijah, the widow, and her son-1 Kings 17:10-16

1st Sunday Preteen (3rd-5th graders) Serve Opportunity starts at 9am/11am

March 11th - Week Two: Isaac’s Wells (Genesis 26:1-6, 12-22, 26-31)

Bottom Line: Prove you care more about others by walking away from a fight.

In class 2nd Sunday WORSHIP starts at 9am and 11am

March 18th - Week Three: Abigail Intervenes (1st Samuel 25:1-35)

Bottom Line: Prove you care more about others by being part of the solution.

March 25th - Week Four: God Made Peace with Us (Colossians 3:15)

Bottom Line:  We can make peace with others because God made peace with us.

April 1st -  Week One: Easter Celebration

Bottom Line: Jesus is alive!

April 8th - Week Two: Hanna Prays for a Baby (1st Samuel 1:6-2:1)

Bottom Line: When you think you can’t wait, talk to God

about it.

April 22nd - Week Four: Golden Calf (Exodus 32:1-35)

Bottom Line: When you think you can’t wait, think about

what’s true.

April 29th - Week Five: Esau’s Impatience (Genesis 25:24-34)

Bottom Line: When you think you can’t wait, think twice.  

May 6th -  Week One: Naaman and Elisha’s Servant (2nd Kings 5)

Bottom Line: When you’re not truthful, you lose trust.

May 13th - Week Two: David and Ahimelek (1st Samuel 21-22)

Bottom Line: When you’re not truthful, you hurt others.

In class 2nd Sunday WORSHIP starts at 9am and 11am

May 20th - Week Three: Haman’s Plot (Esther 3; 4:8b; 5:6-10; 7:1-6; 9b-10)

Bottom Line: When you lie to help yourself, you hurt

yourself instead.

May 27th - Week Four: No Secrets with God (1st John 1:9)

Bottom Line: Being truthful with God helps keep you close

to Him.
