Our Outdoor Baptism Service is September 27th

As we gather again physically on Sundays here are some guidelines we are putting in place to protect against the unnecessary spread of the virus and also to remove any obstacle from someone coming and experiencing the love of Christ. The spiritual, physical, and mental health of our church community is a top priority, as we continue to lead people to grow in their faith, hope, and love for Jesus Christ. These are subject to be changed weekly based on the local impact and spread of the virus and impact in our church community.

The CDC has published helpful guidelines for faith-based communities and we are using them as a helpful resource in our planning.

Below are specific elements we are putting in place and these will be evaluated weekly:

RSVP

We will have a 9AM and 11AM onsite service in order to spread out attendees.

We will be at approximately limited capacity in the sanctuary with rows spaced apart.

Starting September 27th, pre-registration will only be required for ProvKids.

RSVP

Masks

Please wear a mask when you attend in-person services. All Prov staff and volunteers will be wearing masks during the services other than when speaking or singing from on stage.

Health Questions

  • All staff and volunteers will be required to have their temperature checked and answer a COVID exposure question before serving that day. Anyone with a temperature above 100.4 will not be able to serve that day.
  • All attendees will be asked to self-monitor before they attend each Sunday and stay home if they are not feeling well.
  • Prov Communications Director (Sherry) will be the main contact for COVID-related communications if we would have a confirmed case in our facility.

Sanitization and Social Distancing

  • Active sanitation before, during, and in between services will be implemented.
  • We encourage other forms of greeting besides handshakes and hugs. This can include fist and elbow bumps.
  • We will not pass a basket for offering but instead encourage people during an aspect of the service to give using their phone or drop off a check in a marked area.
  • Ushers will help to strategically dismiss attendees to prevent lines from forming at doorways (will be based on attendance thresholds).
  • We will have multiple hand sanitizer stations visible throughout the building.
  • Coffee Service will be provided with adequate safety measures in place.

Not ready to join us in person?

We're still streaming Sundays at 9am + 11am on Facebook live, Church Online, and YouTube.

NEW!

ProvKids COVID Precautions:

In light of COVID-19 we will be putting the following into place at this time in addition to our existing health and wellness policies. (see below for a link to our full handbook?)  As we begin on August 30, 2020 we will have ProvKids available at both the 9am and 11am services for the Nursery (6mo.-18mo. olds) and K-5th graders. Preschoolers are welcome to attend service with their families at this time. (Activity bags will be available to keep preschoolers occupied during the service, and the cafe will also be available for streaming if you need a space to be with your preschooler.)

Pre-registration

Currently, to ensure proper classroom ratios, ProvKids will be requiring all attendees to pre-register for Sunday each week by noon on Saturday.

Health Check

All Staff and Volunteers will be temperature checked each morning. Before checking in children, health check questions will be asked of each family. If anyone in the household is experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, we will kindly ask that family to enjoy online service that day.

  • A temperature of 100.4 or greater, now or in the last 48 hours
  • Cough/Runny Nose (other than general allergies)
  • Has anyone in the household been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 14 days
  • Do you have a mask for service today or do you need one?

Check-in/Check-out

There will be manned check-in stations each week, with a check-in line marked for social distancing. Designated Check-In Volunteers will check in all families, providing a touch-free experience. Please send as few family members as possible with 1 adult to check-in.

6mo. -18 mo. children can be dropped off at the beginning of service in Rm. 201. Elementary children will begin upstairs in worship with their parents/guardians until dismissed at the start of the sermon (rooms will be assigned on your child’s tag).

Families will line up in a socially distant manner at the registration point for check out. Upon reaching the front of the line, a Check-Out Volunteer will retrieve the family’s child(ren) and check security tag(s). Please see someone at registration if you have misplaced your tags before attempting to retrieve your child.

Masks

Masks are expected for all ProvKids Volunteers and expected for all parents and Elementary children. Kid masks will be provided if needed.

Social Distancing

ProvKids is limiting classroom capacity to encourage social distancing as much as possible. Elementary students will be placed into small groups in a large, open room to avoid unnecessary exposure.

Sanitization, Hygiene, and Cleaning

  • All craft/coloring materials will be packaged for individual use.
  • Sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building and we will remind children to use them when necessary.
  • All touchpoints and restrooms will be wiped down and sanitized before, between, and after services.
  • No outside food or drinks should be brought in at this time.

Parent Alert System

If ProvKids would need to retrieve a parent during service, your family’s unique security code (found on child pickup tag) would be displayed on the projector screen. Please report to the kids downstairs registration area if this number applies to you.
