At Providence, we treasure the times that we spend together as a body on Sundays worshiping our Heavenly Father, but church is not just a Sunday event. We value the more intimate connections of fellowship and accountability in small groups. It is for this reason that we have Life Groups. Life Groups meet in homes, coffee shops, and restaurants. These groups are crucial for people to grow in their walk with the Lord in community. Life Groups focus on studying the Scriptures, living in relationship and spending time in prayer so we impact our neighborhoods, workplaces, and schools with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please take a moment and look at the groups that are currently available. Life in community is a beautiful thing.
Our small group is meant to connect people who are going through becoming "empty nesters," that season of life where your kids are just about out of the house or are gone, your parents need care, your body can't do what it used to, and the roles which have defined you for the last 20 years are coming to an end. What is God up to with all these changes? We'd like to delve into this changing of seasons and be a group that learns from each other and provides support and encouragement through it. We'll have guided discussions each meeting, and hope that you will find it beneficial.
