  1. Read or listen to Colossians 1:15-20. Verse 17 states: “He is before ALL things, and in Him ALL things hold together.” What does this verse mean to you? How can this verse play a role in your daily life? 

  1. When you find yourself “trying to hold it together,” what are your first gut instincts? How do you shift your focus to scripture and giving your life circumstances up to God? 

  1. Pastor Todd mentioned that  “We view/interpret God through the lens of our own circumstances. When the truth of who God is should determine the way we view our circumstances.” 

    1. Does this statement resonate with you? How so? 

    2. How did Biblical figures like Jesus’ disciples and Paul let their own circumstances determine their view of Jesus?  

    3. How does our world and culture let circumstances determine how Jesus is viewed? 

  1. In his sermon, Pastor Todd advised us to consider everything Jesus was holding together to bring us to Prov today: Gravity, Oxygen, Laminin. 

    1. Search your heart and determine if you are living like you believe Jesus is holding your life together. If not, who or what are you believing in to hold life together? 

    2. Now, look up what a Laminin protein looks like. 

    3. After pondering and discussing Pastor Todd’s message, do you feel your view of Jesus is too small?
