Brett and Susan shared with us the three pillars of Lent:

  1. Prayer (with a focus on repentance)

What is one area of your life where God is drawing you to repentance, freedom and meaningful change?

  1. Fasting (with a focus on self-denial)

What is one way you might deny yourself for the next 6 weeks so that you may reorient your soul’s dependence on God?

  1. Almsgiving (with a focus on the poor)

Who may be in need of your time, talent or treasure this Lenten season?

Read Matthew 4: 1-11.

How do you trust God in moments of doubt?

Are you waiting for God to do something spectacular for you?

How do you trust that God’s way is better when you are craving things of this world?

Read Philippians 2: 6-7.

What does it look like to choose humility in your daily life? What obstacles do you face in doing this?

Romans 8: 15-16

What are some things that God has set you free from?

Are there times when you feel distant from the Lord? How does this passage encourage you in those moments?

Our invitation is to receive the grace and love of God in Christ and to turn our hearts towards God in love, worship and adoration.

What steps can you take this week to align your desires more with God’s goodness and love?
