Born Is | Thanksgiving Liturgy

Follow Along with the Message

1. Jesus gave thanks as an act of worship. Are you finding it difficult in this season of life to give thanks to God? Have you brought your hesitation to God in prayer?

2. Honesty with God is an act of worship. Honesty with God pulls us closer to Him. Dishonesty with God creates a blockade which prevents us from being wrapped in His loving embrace. Are you experiencing a lack of desire to seek God in this season? Have you brought that to Him in prayer?

3. Psalm 100:4 says “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” What are you praising and thanking God for this year? How have you seen God move in power this year? While sitting in gratitude to the Father for His many blessings, have you considered how you can pour into others?

4. Read Ephesians 1-19:23. Are you trusting that God has placed Jesus above all rule and authority not only in this age but the one to come? Do you trust that Jesus is the head of the church and we are the body? Have you stepped into the truth that we as His church are the body of Jesus?

5. Truth and facts are not synonymous. As children of God, we are to be immersed in His word, which is truth. Are you giving God a time of silence to be fully engaged in His word? During this advent season, what are some sacred rhythms you can initiate in order to slow down and spend time with God?
