Primary Scripture Passage:  Mark 3: 13-19

1. Who / what has the loudest voice/influence in your life right now?  How does that compare with the way God’s Word and family (the church) are making an impact?
2. When we decide like the original twelve to follow the ultimate Influencer (Jesus), what are we being called to?  Read John 17:3 as you discuss your answers.
3. If the disciples were led to accept Jesus’ invitation to follow Him because of the power He displayed, what led them to remain in a relationship with Him?
4. Respond with your thoughts to the statement that “discipleship always happens in the community” as you review these scripture passages:

9. Read Acts 12:6-17 and discuss how witnessing the miracle of Peter being rescued from prison influenced the life of John Mark and inspired him to write the first Gospel.

15. Are there a few specific people on your mind–God is calling you to disciple/influence?  Take time to pray with one another that your influence for Jesus will grow in the lives of the people you interact with.
