Why did the men not recognize Jesus? 

Do you feel like you "know about Jesus" or "know Jesus"? Has the answer to this question changed during different phases of your life?

What does it mean that Jesus drew near to these men (verse 15)?

Why does Jesus start referencing scripture to answer these men's questions? 

Read Colossians 3:16. Do you let the scriptures dwell in you richly? Why or why not? How is dwelling with scripture different than reading it?

Have you ever felt your heart burn after reading scripture? What was the men's reaction in verses 33-35?
